Adey Wright

Adey presents The Morning show from 10am – 11am Weekdays, including The 11 at 11 – Can you guess the year? Tiger Pop, Saturdays from 1pm with Paul Wright, talking all things Hull City. Richard Moore

Richard was born in Beverley and raised in West Hull. Having worked on a bunch of radio stations in the 80’s and 90’s, he now presents the morning Rewind feelgood hour. Richard and is also our Technical Director. Contact him for a request at richard@humberwave.com

Paul Wright

Presenting The Lunchtime show 12pm – 1pm weekdays, also The Friday night rock show 6pm – 7pm. Tiger Pop Saturdays 1pm – 2pm, talking all things Hull City with Adey Wright. Email paul@humberwave.com for requests

Steve (The Loon) Smith

My radio bug started in 1975 on Forces Radio both here and in Germany. Once out of the service I joined Hospital Radio in Ipswich. After returning to Hull I worked at Kingston Hospital Radio and then onto Humber Wave Radio. I was told you may have lost the desk but you still have voice, which incidentally still talks squit. Rachael Marshall

Local girl, born and raised in Hull. Rock music fan, and in particular AC/DC. My interest in radio work started back in 2019 when I won a competition to host my own show on a local radio station and got the radio bug. I joined Humber Wave Radio in 2022 to pursue my ambition to host my own show, which I now do with the 2 at 1 Show Every Tuesday, and the 80’s Show every Thursday – drop me an email for a request rachael@humberwave.com

Pete Tyler

Hull born, Pete has worked in the radio industry for many years, rock music fan, but likes all music if it is good! He is a Chelsea FC supporter (but we wont hold that against him). Pete started DJ’ing in Hull before moving on to Hospital Radio where I learned the difference between dj’ing in clubs and presenting on the radio, he later did jobs on Viking FM and Magic 1161 before joining Humber Wave Radio. James Bowers

Humber Wave Radio’s Longest serving presenter and budding journalist. He presents our afternoon show featuring local news and your what’s on guide Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays 2pm – 4pm. James also presents The Democracy show Sundays 1pm

Adam B

Hi I’m Adam B , I’m the presenter of The Usual Suspects Show featuring local music, with acts live in the studio, every Wednesday 6pm – 7pm and every Saturday night 6pm – 8pm. I have been a radio presenter for over 20 years now. Send your local music to usualsuspects@humberwave.com

John Wiles

Humber Wave Radio’s roving reporter. John has been doing radio since the beginning of time. He is now out and about for West Hull FM reporting on all local events. If you have an event coming up and would like Wilsey to come and have a chat with you. Email us at studio@humberwave.com

Ben Chatfield

Hi Im Ben Chatfield, Born in Hull. Raised in West Hull, Served an apprenticeship at Hull city council straight from school. Qualified Electrician, But worked as a DJ during my spare time throughout apprenticeship. Used to sing a bit too in younger years, been in a band before, Love music, love live gigs, and I host the Wednesday and Friday slots 1pm – 2pm

Captain Zoetrope

Musical explorer. Alternative connoisseur. Lover of all things electronicAn audionaut if you must!

The good Captain broadcasts his show once a month. Always on the last Thursday. Always at 10pm. Playing a selection of forgotten album tracks, B-sides, remixes, new tunes and old tunes. All with one thing in common: all chosen for their high end musical  quality. All wheat no chaff! Come and join the fun and the weirdness exclusively on Humber Wave Radio.

Phil Rogers

Hi I’m Phil. Originally from Bedford, Presenter of Tuesday nights with Phil from 6 til 9. Including the ‘All Request Jukebox. My radio life started at the age of 18 with Charity station Radio Cracker in Hull in 1992, Then later, hospital radio in Sunderland and Hull before aspiring to Humber Wave Radio. email me phil@humberwave.com

Phillip Codling

I first joined Humber Wave Radio in 2018 I wrote and presented shows with a highlight being a 5 part David Bowie series that had some remarkable, most memorable music. I left in 2020 due to you know what. Decided the time was right to get back into it this summer and I’ve even got my old spot back. Super people here. It’s fantastic . Despite all this, I still haven’t worked out Mark E. Smith!

Steve Jenkins

Steve is our Presenter of the Weekend Breakfast Show. A wizard at all things creative, he also takes rather good pics and vids at special events and weddings. At weekends he can often be spotted zooming around town in his superfast 1960’s VW camper van!

Neil Rudd

Neil was born in Hull and has worked in both commercial radio and at the BBC. He presents Solid Gold Saturday with a mix brilliant hits from the 60s to the 90s, 2-4pm Saturday afternoons. Send your requests to neil@humberwave.com

Lewis Noonan

My name is Lewis, and I present The Urban Takeover – The perfect weekend extension. Bringing the highest energy and all the latest club bangers! Who said Mondays have to be boring?

I also produce and co-present The Student Union, and along with Luke and the Union boys we bring you the finest selection of alt tunes that you will hear the younger generation pumping out.
